I was exploring this castle in Peñíscola Spain on a quiet Tuesday afternoon. I was enjoying taking my time to look through the museum without crowds of people to navigate through. What I learned about this castle was very interesting, a Pope was posioned here! At least that's what historians believe. Apparently there were many plots to kill Antipope Benedict XIII to end his papancy. They even had a video recreating how he might've been poisoned which was definately an interesting thing to add into the museum haha. There's no confirmation of whether or not the poisoning plot succeeded, but the whole reason Antipope Benedict XIII was living in this cliffside castle was to be safely far away from his enemies.
Capture a quiet Mediterranean afternoon with this rolled poster — sun-warmed stone in the foreground, a pale blue sea stretching toward a distant shoreline. The image invites slow, attentive moments: mornings with coffee, evenings with soft light, or a hallway that needs a calm, grounded focal point. Choose from textured fine art paper for a tactile, gallery-like presence; matte for a soft, modern look; or semi-glossy for crisp color and clarity. Available in vertical and horizontal formats and multiple sizes to suit small nooks or large blank walls.
